***Smoked Gouda Mac n’ Cheese Recipe***
-1 8oz bag of sharp shredded cheese
-1 block of 8oz freshly grated Smoked Gouda cheese shredded
-1 block of 8oz freshly grated Sharp White Cheddar cheese shredded
-1 small block of Velveeta cheese (cut into small cubes) (optional)
-1/2 stick of unsalted butter
-2 tbs sour cream (optional)
-1/2 tsp of salt & 1/4 tsp of black pepper
-1/3 cup of flour
-12 oz box of Elbows Pasta
-4 cups of whole milk
-Pre-heat your oven at 350′.
-Boil Pasta in salted water for about 13 minutes or until pasta is done. When Pasta is done, remove from heat, drain then place to the side.
-In a large pot, on medium heat melt butter then add flour, pepper & salt.
-Add milk then cook on low heat stirring with a whisk until mixture bubbles up an gets a little thick.
-Then add and whisk in your Sharp Cheddar Cheese & Gouda Cheese one at a time.
-Remove immediately from the stove top.
-Spray one 9 inch cake pan with cooking spray. Add cooked pasta to cheese mixture. Add pasta with cheese sauce mixture to your cake pan. Then add Velveeta cheese cubes and sour cream and mix all together evenly. Then press evenly in the cake pan.
-then sprinkle on top, some shredded Sharp Cheese.
-Place in preheated oven and cook until the cheese has melted, has gotten golden brown and the cheese sauce has started to bubble on the edges. Remove from the oven & let cool for 15 mins.
